slideshow2

Note: The example macros in this text contain a space after the first and before the last bracket. This is to avoid them being executed. On real usages there should be none.

Shows slideshows of images in an album. Slideshows are responsive by default but beware of theme css.

An adaption of the jQuery Cycle2 script.

The theme file slideshow.php is required witin your theme's folder.
A slideshow.css is optional. Required special css should best be incorporated into the theme's css.
If you are creating a custom theme, copy these files from an official Zenphoto theme.
Note that the Colorbox mode does not require these files as it is called on your theme's image.php and album.php directly via the slideshow button. The Colorbox plugin must be enabled and setup for these pages.

Some changes to our news section and RSS feeds

You probably read the Zenpage CMS plugin CombiNews feature has been removed with the coming Zenphoto 1.4.6.

As our site already runs on the 1.4.6 RC1 we already stop using CombiNews on our own site. Therefore the news section on our site now changes. New theme, showcase or screenshots/screencasts entries will not be included anymore automatically. We will be creating articles manually collecting new entries (hopefully we don't forget to do so that often).

You can now also subscribe to the new merged RSS feed – uses our own mergedRSS plugin – that now includes all sections except the forum or the individual RSS feeds of each section to stay (...)

You will shortly see the 1.4.6 release, which will be our last "traditional" server based application. Afterwards we will follow a new path: the next release of Zenphoto will be an app for Android and iOS. Although there will also be apps for Mac and Linux desktop systems (sorry, no Windows) we strongly believe that the mobile web is the future. Mobile usage on tiny screens is increasing a lot recently among our clients, and "apps" are the Next Big Thing in the world of tech, so it only makes sense.

Zenphoto will still be your number one media management tool for the web. There will still be a themable web front-end, but the backend will be all app. Since this app will be fully cloud powered, you don't need your own webspace or to store or backup photos. Instead the ZP app will rely solely on Dropbox, Box, or our own proprietary peer-to-peer storage solution, which will use all the phones running the app to store all your photos, encrypted of course.

But that is not all, via the (...)
