Ok, good to know the way still works. Btw, Zenphoto actually loads jQuery by default as well because it is needed for some standard plugins and things like the admin toolbox.

Thanks for your answer Acrylian,

Dealing with this problem I discovered that the simultaneous use of jquery by galleriffic and the wordpress theme causes galleriffic to fail.
... and i solved the problem by removing one of the library calls...
And I say : The ruzee way is still a great way to do it !

Hi there,

I've been trying to fix this all day long, but I am not a CMS expert ...

I tried to integrate a zp gallery with zpgalleriffic theme in my wordpress blog. I used Ruskee's method :
http://www.ruzee.com/blog/2006/06/integrating-zenphoto-into-wordpress/
... which means that I added my blog's footer and header to my version of the theme. The integration seems ok for the css (not too hard) but I deal with a js issue :

The galleriffic-wrap div containing the gallery remains hidden : its css shows : display : none (if i change this using firebug I get my gallery)

I guess some js was supposed to change this display css property but it does not trigger.

The fact is that when a delete wp_head() a php function from my theme, the zpgalleriffic works propoerly ...

Any idea of the way i can solve such a conflict ?

A huge THANKS for any help !

Nicolas

My other gallery with my modified version of the theme :
The site linked did not show any sign of Zenphoto so it was suspicion of SEO spam. (one one Dutch team member can follow the link of your profile if needed). Please proof us wrong though.

If this code is within Zenphoto it should use the Zenphoto_authority
passwordHash()
method and the
zp_setCookie()
function. Otherwise it will likely fail in some circumstances. For instance, md5 is not used anymore for hashing, it is just for legacy installations.

If the code is not part of Zenphoto, you really should try to find a different mechanism for the reasons above as there is really no way to make sure the code keeps current with Zenphoto.

You can make an extension of the zenphoto authorization object that checks for Joomla cookies, for instance. Or just have both systems use a third party authorization. Zenphoto supports open authentication protocols and HTTP authentication through plugins. I do not know what joomla supports.

Hi,

I had a look to your comments

Maybe the simplest solution should be adding to the joomla login module code a line looking like this one:

setcookie("zenphoto_auth", md5($user.$pwd),...)

just for creating the appropriate cookie for ZP

(creating manually this cookie seems to work..)

There is also HTTP logon at least in apache. A plugin to support that as well. We keep getting these "I want to integrate with Joomla" requests. Unfortunately as we know nothing of Joomla there is not much we can do to help.

That would take someone with Joomla development experience to participate. So far that has not happened.

Hello
I'm still looking for a way to integrate ZenPhoto in Joomla. Main concern is single login, ie using Joomla user login for directly accessing zp pages without having to reenter username+password.
(from a design point of view, putting ZP a joomla frame is ok for me)
Is there a plugin working now ?
like in windows where you don't need any special authentication if you have the client installed you can add/remove/rename/move all your files inside your dropbox.
now the only thing you have to do is symlink your /home/user/dropbox/photo/ to /path/to/zenphoto/albums.
now all your uploaded photos are appearing instantly in your zenphoto gallery.
if you check your directory permissions in linux you can also upload images through zenphoto to your dropbox.

Well, IMHO indeed wishful thinking. Why don't you use an mobile FTP client? That is not that much more complicated than using Dropbox and the dozens of similar services.

Generally Zenphoto can't do this at all. But as always if you need this feel free to investigate a possible plugin. I will not. Sorry.

This is just wishful thinking, but I think zenphoto could really take it to the next level with dropbox integration. How cool would it be in zenphoto could pull from the dropbox photo folder. I currently use that service now to quickly get my mobile photos online.

Hello,

Can I integrate a Shopping Cart with ZenPhoto to allow users to buy prints/originals of paintings?

Are there any guides for doing this?

Many thanks for any guidance.

For interested readers, I have posted the same question at the MODx forums.

And for clarification to those familiar with MODx, the suggestion that I used a chunk was a typo. I have in fact used a snippet for the PHP code.
