What I said, if you read it, is that the problem with the database size is solved and working for you. BUT I also said that any data from before the fix that was corrupted will still be corrupted--there is no fix possible for that, we cannot recreate what is no longer there.

Beyond that, you have not indicated what (if any) error you are getting now. So we can only presume that the data is still corrupted.

And?
I stay with my inability to read what is written on the page, or modify-it, because the text in field context isn't displaying, this is-it?
Really, you believe that's work correctly, although the page appears blank?

I'm not trying to attack you ... but I am surprised!

Ok, i've understand that field size is not the issue!
Where is-it? What can be the cause?

Since the type for contents is "LONGTEXT" everything has worked correctly, no need to debug setup. The database field size is not the issue (of if it is, there is nothing that can be done since this is the biggest field available.)

Any corrupt data from before the field was expanded will still be corrupt--no way to correct truncated data.

Did you look at your database tables to see if the fields have been changed to LONGTEXT? If they have not been changed then you will need to run setup with the debug option and look for the statements that make the change and see why they failed.

Then you need to look for errors regarding your database. DId you try the support build before the release? THis is what you should have done as we otherwise consider it fixed .

We didn't encounter any issues ourselves. Since articles and pages are bascially the same setup we would as some of our tutorials are quite long.

Sorry, no easy answer possible. If you wish to use jQuery/ajax to load html content generated by Zenphoto functions you need to call it as a custom theme pages (See the theming tutorial). That will need to have the code to get what you wish.

If you wish to use Zenpage pages outside the actual context you need to learn about Zenphoto's object model. There is a tutorial but be aware this is rather advanced coding already.

I hope that helps.

hi,

i would like to update parts of a page using ajax, i.e. i want to dynamically load different pages (from zenpage) to a container next to an album. so a user can find out more about the pictures of an album without reloading the whole site (with all its images) again.
i guess it shouldn't be that hard, more or less along the lines of this small demo: http://tutorialzine.com/2009/09/simple-ajax-website-jquery/ - but i don't really have a clue, how to accomplish this with zenpage/zenphoto.

hope someone can point me in the right direction! :)

Hello, onto my zenphoto gallery, i've this problem:

I've update the content of one page ; and after click on the button 'Apply', nothing is displaying on the webpage.

http://zenphoto.dev.stephane-huc.net/pages/ZenPaypal-Plugin

It's a multilinguage page... EN and FR.

This problem not exists on others pages.

I explain:

In this zenpage script pages.php modified, for my plugin zengeshi, i call your getPageContent() function. In this case, after updated my content to publy and inform the new version of zenpaypal, no content is displaying because the return of function is empty ; but the content is in database.
I've pasted the content value on http://paste.ubuntu.com/5640102/

I've attempting to modify others pages, and result not problem.

I don't know the reasons.

FBOA...

Rather than removing, this "if(0 &&" seems to work for any/all of the various sidebar.php sections:

if (0 && getOption('zp_plugin_zenpage')) { ?>
<div class="menu">
<h3><?php echo gettext("News articles"); ?></h3>
<?php
printAllNewsCategories(gettext("All news"),TRUE,"","menu-active",true,"submenu","menu-active");
?>
</div>
<?php } ?>

...disables, but leaves sidebar.php intact.

Thanks for your quick answer.

I guess the custom field or the codeblock with a theme modification will be me best option: whenever I want to have another page layout, I'll just have to add the corresponding CSS rules.

But I'll have to investigate a bit, as I have yet to use a custom field or a codeblock.

If it is just changing a class you could add a check like
if($_zp_current_zenpage_page->getTitlelink() == "<page titlelink>") { .... }
and let it print it.

You could also modify the theme to use for example the custom field or a codeblock to store a class or id name and just check for it.

The multiple_layouts plugin is best suited if you do really different things like different columns or something.

The multiple_layouts plugin is designed to do just that. How it works is explained in the plugin info.
