My Zenphoto setup keeps failing, giving me the error "Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2)"

I have verified my DB is there, I have verified the DB user is valid, can login (at least through phpmyadmin) and has proper permissions to read and write that database, and that I've used the correct password. No matter what I do, I keep getting this error. I use MediaTemple as my host.

    Any ideas?

I don't know MediaTemple but if you cannot connect something is wrong. Often wrong is the database server name which only a very few hosts is named indeed "localhost". So check the credentials.

Great! The hostname was the issue. Thanks!
