i would like to show you guys my site...
OK, here is why: I didn't like the thumbnails for the album view with my old zenphoto installation anymore. And I didn't want to spend the time to figuring out alternative layouts.
The display styles of indexhibit appealed to me immediately. I also like the few features of indexhibit (I don't need comments, EXIF and geo data display, tagging and all the rest of zenphoto's many features). Thus, I dare to say indexhibit seems more zen to me.
I haven't tried Zenpage, I admit. Then again I don't want my portfolio to be a full featured site with a blog etc.
Thanks for letting me share my thoughts.
Firstly, I'd like to send some love to the ZenPhoto developers - since I discovered ZP and replaced a huge groaning Gallery2 installation, my life has been infinitely more enjoyable!
Secondly, here is my first ZP installation - over 10,000 pics on a Malta-based charity website that I maintain...
+1 to ZigPress.
I converted my fansite from G2 to ZP and I've been calling it Zippy! all weekend :) I'm running a customized version of Hybrid News (http://themehybrid.com/themes/hybrid-news) by Justin Tadlock, modified to be a stand-alone gallery theme. Tags and comments (and rating) have all be turned off (or hidden) for now. With 17,500+ images, we're running beautifully. No one even noticed the change, after I changed the image page suffix from .php to .html!
thanks, I considerd choosing indexhibit as platform. But I liked zenphoto as a project more
http://www.girlsofbrawl.com << An online audition site we launched June 15 to scout the nation for our next Brawl Girls. Loving ZenPhoto so far...just need better support and explanations for integrating plugins. Remember we are not all nerds of programming.
Took some time but here's my first Zenphoto site.
Many thanks to acrylian who coded a custum function for the theme options.
The user can can now choose between a slideshow, a random image or latest image to
display on his homepage.
Well, here is mine too.
What I have works great except for the few summefest galleries which are huge and really need better nav. Still trying to figure out how to get highslide galleries w/thumbstrips to work in it with no real luck (http://highslide.com/#examples see with galleries examples). If anyone has ideas or can steer me to other posts on that let me know.
Hey y'all, here's my url:
The site is combination blog/photoblog, with the photoblog portion run by zenphoto and the blog portion run by wordpress. If anyone has any comments/criticisms, please let me know.
To the developers: thanks for making zenphoto. I had started this project using Gallery and scrapped everything a few months later when I found zenphoto. It's an excellent system to develop with.
Hi guys, first of all i need to thanks to all the poeple who made zenphoto possible, i can fin 1000 reasons why to use zenphoto and also 1000 reasons why you should't use anything else. This is my photo gallery, with the pictures i've made so far, is also has a personal gallery to share pictures with my friends.I kept the script calls and the divs and table structure, and i change it till it fitted to my needs, i change the highslide script to the latest version, and added some more effects here and there.I keep it simple and efficent.I don't know if it fits your conditions for showcase but i still ad this post for thanking you all and why not?...to show-off i use Zenphoto.
