I'm not sure if this is a bug or not (and I have done a search but didn't find anything relating to my error)

I'm using 1.2.8 of ZP and when I added a second album the formatting on the gallery page broke really bad here is a screenshot:

FYI I have cleared my cache, deleted the album and created/uploaded again with the same results.

Can anyone lend me a helping hand?

I tested it with the default theme that incls Zenpage and it is still broken so I think it is a scripting error and none of the modifications I made. /shrug

Clearly if there was a problem with more than one album in Zenphoto more then you would have noticed it. The link you poste is not one of our distributed themes, so naturally we cannot know what it might be doing. Also be clear on your terminology. The Zenphoto "default" theme does not include support for Zenpage. The only distributed themes that support Zenpage are Efferevescence+ and Zenpage-default

actually that is the name, tyvm all I did was change css colours.

Taken from the OFFICAL theme options in Admin:

    [blockquote]Zenpage-Default
    Malte Müller (acrylian)
    Version 1.2.6, 02/19/2009
The zenpage CMS plugin default theme. It does also work without Zenpage installed as a normal theme. It containts extra support for print_album_menu plugin, the dynamic_locale plugin and the new paged_thumbs_nav plugin.[/blockquote]

As I stated all I did was change the colours in the CSS and the screen shot shows what happened when I added a second album. I changed nothing else.

The format only works correctly if I check "News on Index Page" option.

I appreciate you responding however I did use the correct terminology and explained my error correctly. I did NOT alter any of the php pages and only adjusted colors in the css I did not change any sizes or anything else.

And according to your website the theme I am using is supported, and when I use the theme as it comes with the default installation it still breaks (I'd be happy to incl a screen shot of that as well for your perusal) so it is nothing I did on my end.

I am only reporting what I think is a bug.

this is the site using the OFFICAL theme included with your distribution - its broken with more than one album

just so you know since I failed to mention it this is a fresh installation of ZP 1.2.8

I'd appreciate some help since the theme is supported on my site and It is not working.

as it appears my report is not being taken seriously I will simply use another theme that does not break ZPfocus.

    thanks for your time

@elesarr, would love to help you work on the problem. As you've already changed your theme to zpfocus I can't really offer to help as you've also removed the ss, so not sure what the issue would be. I can assure you that a standard install of 1.2.8 with an official theme functions properly in most cases. There are sometimes things that cause issues though.

If you decide you want to work on it some more, feel free to swap back and drop another message here. I'll be up most of the night checking in and see if I can help.

Please understand that we often get request about themes we don't support, it is not always noticable for us what is really changed on a customized standard theme. Thus sbillard's reaction.

I find that you are really giving in too fast. As the original author of that theme I surely take it seriously if there is a bug.

So if I got it right the gallery index page does not work for you if the "news on index" option is disabled? Sadly I can'T access any of the image links your posted.

I apologize if I came across unprofessionally - just felt that my posts had not been read as I am aware being a web designer myself how innocuous posts for support can be.

@acrylian - yes that is correct when the "News on Index Page" is disabled then the formatting is broken for the albums. I played with the code a bit on a custom copy but couldn't get it to work as I am new to ZP and did not want to delve too deeply in changing code.

I also apologize for taking so long to respond, ty both(acrylian and michaell) for responding to my plea for help, I will most assuredly not be so rash the next time.

    Cheers!

Oh if you need to see how it breaks I can set the theme on my site to the incl'd version of your theme so you can see for yourself I'll watch this thread to know when you get this message.

I am sorry I am not able to reproduce the error with the latest version of the theme. I even tried with the disabled Zenpage plugin. Also our demo runs without "news on index" without problems. So it is probably something on your site. I guess we need a link then.
