    Hi,
I just uploaded the new version and when I run setup it can't find the database. I used the exact same information as in other V1.2.1. builds that have worked fine. I am using a database that I created with V1.2.1. thats why the table prefix is zenp_

    Help!!!

Well, setup tells that it does not exist, at least not that you entered the data for.

It does exist because I took the existing and working V1.2.1 build, deleted the program folders and installed the new ones and I checked MySql and its there.

Any other ideas? I got the database information from the previous zp-config.php.

You have entered something wrong. It really will not be possible for us to guess what.

You say you had a v2.1.1 build. If you can find the zp-config.php from that build it will have the correct infomation about you database. Just place that file in the zp-data folder. If that does not work, then something has changed on your host.

I made it work by adding a new user and password. Really doesn't make sense that the zp-config didn't work. And the first time I tried the new user it didn't work either. Then I got the admin error. I found the answer in a thread to delete the admin table. Now my new Uploaded albums don't show up! Back to searching...

they only have an old version If that should mean that you installed Zenphoto via a install script your host provided it is their fault. We don't support such installations (as we state both on the forum rules and on our installation page).

That does indeed mean that you did not install from our download. I too run on POWWEB. They have a quite reasonable service but you should not use their install program as it will cause problems such as you had. Please read our posting about what to do before you post here.
