Hello,
Why are we asked to delete the setup files after we're done?
I had to use them again to change settings and since then, I get "Some files are missing or seem out of variance", about the setup PHP list.

Posts: 13,490You are asked that for security reasons and you don't need to do that.
The warning is just a warning that might indicate a problem with files (as forgetting to update certains ones which might lead to issues).

Posts: 9,818Specifically, the nature of setup is such that we cannot imune it from Cross Site Request Forgeries. So we recommend removing the files. Of course, if you know you will not be fooled into clicking on a poisoned link, you can leave the files installed.
The warning tells you that some files might not be correct. Of course, if you know the reason (e.g. you just uploaded them or deliberately deleted them) you should ignore the warning.
