Zenphoto needs to stop being strictly English. Strings should be localized throughout the new admin and in default themes, based on the GNU Gettext project. As of now, when mod_rewrite is enabled spaces in the url are converted to %20 entities. It would be nice to have dashes instead. %20 is completely unfriendly, especially for humans, not to mention SEO. |

Requires/Extension of #6 (Admin redesign) Users need to be able to move, copy, and rename images and albums within zenphoto while preserving their database record association (and all set metadata). Note this is especially needed when sub-albums become widely used, as the extra organizational capabilities may need to be used for existing albums with intact titles and descriptions. |

I'm running zenphoto on lighttpd with the provided rewriting rules. All this works fine, however I noticed that search engines were not finding me due to 404 errors. This might be an issue within lighttpd, as I've seen this before with Wordpress but it was eventually fixed. However this is also partly a problem in Apache: actual pages not found are returned as 200 OK. Themes which have multiple javascript libraries may conflict with ajax.js. mototools.v1.11.js appears to conflict. Themes with this library fail when the admin user is logged-in and running IE7. |

If you are going through an album updating metadata and decide to delete an image, you must remember to save the metadata first and then re-find the image you wanted to delete. Otherwise all changes to metadata will be lost. My boss has lost a lot of data on a few occassions because she didn't realize that she had to save everything first. It would be good if you could delete an image without losing any changes to metadata. Perhaps by automatically saving everything before the delete, or maybe there's a way to delete with Ajax that wouldn't impact the other data??? |

One could really consider this a defect since it would seem crutial to a complete subalbum implementation. The Admin Upload tab will let you create new albums in the gallery, but not in a subalbum. It will not let you select an existing subalbum to upload to. It should be modified to allow new albums to be created even when a subalbum is picked from the drop-down list. suggested layout: Upload to a new album [<checkbox checked>] Publish the album [<checkbox>] located in [<drop down list of subalbums headed by "* Gallery *">] Called [ <input field> ] With folder name [<input field> ] Auto-generate [<checkbox>] If the checkbox is not checked, then you get the current album upload layout. Of course, the dropdown needs to list all the albums and subalbums. |

New theme function: select (or input) an image size to get a custom-sized image generated for you. Most useful for the owner of the gallery, but also good for viewers. It could optionally be restricted to admins completely, or be a config option to list sizes available to viewers. Regular visitors should not be able to request any size they want-- that would overload the server. |

It should be possible to select the thumbnail for an album from the list of image thumbnails directly rather than trying to remember the name and finding it in the dropdown list. Perhaps a mouse right button click option or a radio button by the image thumbnail could be used for selection. |
