  The 2.0 release will be a major redesign and recode of Zenphoto, perhaps borrowing much from its initial release. 2.0 may bring such features as:

  • Tags and groups for all objects (arbitrary 'albums' consisting of any other zenphoto objects)
  • Full search capability, including both Title/Descripion/Date and EXIF data search.
  • Dynamic groupings based on results from a live search query (eg: Images from 2006, Images taken with a Canon camera, etc) viewable as an album in a normal gallery.
  • Ability to use off-server storage services, display images from other sites in-line with images on disk, or 'import' zenphoto albums or images across servers/sites if they are public.
  • Multiple galleries and paths off a single Zenphoto installation.

  But then, Zenphoto may be able to support all these features with the current codebase, so very little 'recoding' may be necessary...
