ImageMagick is an open source software image manipulation and display software suite supporting a wide variety of formats, released under the GNU General Public License. ImageMagick includes an X Window Graphical user interface for rendering images, command line utilities for image processing, and API libraries for many programming languages. The program uses magic numbers to identify image file formats which is why "Magick" appears in the name.

ImageMagick can read, convert and write images in a variety of formats (about 100) including DPX, GIF, JPEG, JPEG-2000, PDF, PhotoCD, PNG, Postscript, SVG, and TIFF. Use ImageMagick to translate, flip, mirror, rotate, scale, shear and transform images, adjust image colors, apply various special effects, or draw text, lines, polygons, ellipses and Bézier curves.

Support for ImageMagick in Zenphoto is planned for the 1.2 release.
