What our users say

“I found ZenPhoto by accident and it is a godsend! I was using Menalto Gallery before and I am so frustrated with its bloated code and Web 1.0 architecture! I was able to redo the site in less than a week using ZenPhoto! You guys did a great job! Thanks!”
pixelfreak
“I been using zenphoto for a while, mainly because I love its versatility and how easy it is to adapt it to an existing design.”

Development
zenphoto was started in May of 2005 with a published specification on a weblog (trisweb.com), and each version saw dozens of comments leading to revision of the spec and more ideas for subsequent versions. It was a fruitful and enjoyable development process that is not even close to being finished. If you’d like to participate, please visit the message boards and introduce yourself, or just start submitting patches on the bug tracker.
In September 2007, members of the Zenphoto community began improving Zenphoto and making a ‘community build’ that included many new features and fixes, since the development had stalled for over six months. The community build was then merged into the Zenphoto codebase and development continued with a core team of developers and contributors. Finally, on November 2nd 2007 Zenphoto 1.1 was released, including many new features and improvements.
We now have an excellent team of developers working on the project and development is much more active than in the past. Thank you to all those responsible for the 1.1 and 1.2 releases and continued development of Zenphoto.
